Education

Education has been one of the core programs of the organization wherein we place special focus on Primary and Middle School education in the villages. With the fast advancement of the world, it is equally important to provide quality education to the rural poor. ECS has initiated Girls Residential Hostels in 4 district in Eastern Nagaland and also run the Sochum Project ( a traditional dormitory hostel, based on the Morung systems of Nagaland) in 13 villages; and other small programs under the flagship program of Samargra Shiksha Abhiyan under the Nagaland Education Department. Our organization has successfully implemented the ICDS Anganwadi Mid day Meal program in Tuensang District for the last 5 years covering, 10 villages.
