The goal of ECS in rural health broadly is, to improve primary health care access in remote eastern districts of Nagaland by building strong community responses at the grassroots. ECS works closely with the community and the Government to ensure availability of services and most importantly, connecting people with the services through intensive community outreach. A large part of the focus is put on developing and providing quality maternal and child health services to prevent maternal and child deaths by ensuring access to routine ANC, immunization and nutrition services. We also focus on education, awareness, advocacy and capacity building to enable the community to seek and demand services and hold the state government accountable to meet those needs.
